Mission
LNS's mission is to control the quality of medicines, foods, drinks or any substance imported or produced in the Republic of Mali and intended for therapeutic, dietary or food purposes with a view to safeguarding the health of human and animal populations.
In this capacity LNS is responsible for:
- Giving its technical opinion for the authorization or prohibition of the use of any food, medicine or drink for food, therapeutic or dietary use
- Take and analyze samples in any production, import, distribution or conservation unit of food, therapeutic or dietary products;
- Participate in university and post-graduate training ;
- Undertake scientific and technical research activities ;
- Contribute to the development of standards and ensure their application.
